He had his last exam the next day, but he also had a song stuck in his head, ideas racing around his mind and fears of the exam blocking out all struggles to sleep.

The briefing had been three months ago to that day and the weather had only grown worse. Scott and Anne had received images of their nephew Oliver and his pregnant wife Amy, along with ultra-sound scans of the baby. It wasn't until the third of January that the plane finally took off. Due to set-backs and money issues, neither Colin nor Sophie were able to get tickets for the first. They were flying with OctoTravel, a company that was created originally for pensioners but was later released to the rest of the public.
The plane was leaving from heathrow at 7am, and was due to arrive in Dallas twelve hours later. The flight attendants made their first march through the seats, giving instructions and information about the fl
The town was loud that night. It was new-years eve, 2199, so it was completely understandable. Fireworks were set, sparklers were lit, banners were streaming. The police were out in large numbers, ready to stop and apprehend all trouble. Even so, there was a lot of it. Across the town, people were screaming with delight and laughing like there was no tomorrow. It was a breeding ground for insanity.
Unfortunately, not everybody was out in the square having the time of their lives. Above the Saver's Rates store in the north-east corner of the centre, a table was covered in papers and news articles, documents and files. The light was on and so
